Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians

Join us for stories, songs and action rhymes. During this 30 minute program, families will meet new friends and develop early literacy skills. For children ages birth to five years and their caregivers.

Come to the library every Friday to enjoy fun games, yummy snacks and great people! Board games are purchased or altered so they are accessible for all! For adults.  This program takes place in-person at LAMP Pittsburgh 4724 Baum Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Reservations are optional.

Discover fur, feathers, and scales in this introduction to some of the world’s most fascinating animals. Using live animals from the Zoo, we will explore the physical characteristics of each animal while learning how they are uniquely adapted to their environments. For all ages. Join us to discuss the book The Problem with Forever by Jennifer Armentrout. This Young Adult romance follows Mallory Dodge, a teen who is still recovering from the trauma of an abusive foster placement. Painful memories are awakened on her first day of public school when she runs into her foster brother, and realizes that her past is not completely behind her. Available as an audiobook (DB 85735, some strong language). Teen LAMP patrons can join in person at LAMP Pittsburgh, or virtually. For LAMP patrons between 14– 21 years old. A special edition of The Many Faces of BARD program is being offered this month. The topic for the program will be BARD 2.0: An Overview, and the program will be conducted in Spanish. This means that the presentation will be in Spanish, and all questions and answers will be in Spanish. NLS will record this program.
